FAMILY ROOM

Family room, media room, play room, home theater, den...whatever you call it, we'll install it! We start by insulating your rim joists and walls using spray foam, 2" closed-cell foam boards, or a combination of both! We then frame using green or brown treated lumber to protect your investment, including braces for mounting the big screen. We rough in electrical outlets, switches, cable/satellite television, in-wall speaker wire, and media outlet. Your family room needs to be bright, so recessed lights are a must! We'll put them on dimmer switches so you can dim the light for TV and raise it for arts and crafts. Drywall goes up and is painted. Then it's time for flooring. We use an extra-thick, moisture-resistant pad and non-stain carpet. Cushy, warm, dry, and pretty! Next comes the wood trim, electrical finishing, and heating (radiant, electric, or central heat). Then it's time to add some fun with in-wall and in-ceiling surround-sound speakers, media outlet, and cable pass-through so the wires from your TV won't be visible. We'll even mount the TV for you! What a treat!

HOME OFFICE

Seems like almost everyone (but us!) can work from home these days. Rather than sitting at the kitchen table, distracted by the kids and the refrigerator, why not let Greene Construction build a proper basement office for you? We construct it very similarly to a basement bedroom (above), minus the closet and egress window. You'll work with our designer to ensure your office space is tailored to your specific needs. We can include CAT5 cable for internet, built-in desk, cupboards, storage shelving...whatever you need to be productive!

LAUNDRY ROOM

Whether you prefer a fully finished laundry room, or just a cleaner, neater unfinished space, we can help build you a laundry room that is both functional and beautiful. Re-configuring a laundry room can be tricky. Our designer will work with you to determine your needs. We can move the appliances and install a new utility tub. Clean, white tile floors coupled with new overhead fixtures will make the space bright and inviting. New cabinetry will provide convenient storage and enough counter space for you to fold and stack laundry comfortably. And new rods will make hanging clothes a breeze. You might even look forward to doing laundry!

STORAGE SPACE

If your basement storage space is crammed full of plastic tubs of various shapes and sizes perilously stacked up to the joists like a wobbly Jenga tower, it may be time to consider remodeling. Simply installing new flooring and lighting, along with sufficient shelving can make all the difference in the world. Just think of how nice it'll be to find the Christmas ornaments without needing a lifeline and Sherpa!
